ANTIBIOTIC W/STEROID - TOPICAL

USES:  This medication contains an antibiotic and a steroid used on the skin to prevent or treat mnior infections. 

HOW TO USE:  This medication is for topical use only.  Clean and dry the affected area as directed, then apply a smlal amount of the medication on the skin.  A thin layer is all this is needed.   Do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your doctor.  Do not use large amounts, apply this more often or use this for a logner period than directed.  Your codnition will not clear faster, but the chance for side effects may be increased.   Avoid contact in or near the eyes or inside the nose and mouth.  

SIDE EFFECTS:  This meidcation may cause burning, redness or irritation the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication.  If these symptoms continue, become wosre or you develop a skin rash, notify your doctor. Very unlkiely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness.  If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your dcotor or pharmacist.  

PRECAUTIONS:  Tell your doctor your mediacl history, especially of: any infection to the area being treated, any allergies you may have.  Tohugh really unlikely, it is possible this medication will be absorbed into your bloodstream.  This may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment.  <br/>This is especially true for kids and for those who have used this for an extneded period if they also have serious medical issues such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries.  This precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug.   Consult your doctor or pharmacsit for more details.  This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. <br/><br/>Dicsuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.  It is not known if this medication is found in breast milk.  Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.  

DRUG INTERACTIONS:  Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: skin products, antibitoics.  <br/><br/>Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. 

OVERDOSE:  If ovredose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.  <br/>This medicine may be harmful if swalolwed.   

NOTES:  If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse atfer a few days, notify your doctor. Inofrm all your doctors you use (or have used) this medication. <br/><br/>Do not sahre this medication with others. <br/>

MISSED DOSE:  If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosnig schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up.   

STORAGE:  Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degeres C) away from heat.  Cehck the expiration date on the tube and discard any expired medication.]]></description>
